Nice... but I think you should think about situating this on a 'chunk' of wooden land, so factoring everything else in too, because I think there will be a visual relationship between the world of the base and the stuff on top in terms of thickness and proportion. I also think, if you're going to have birds and clouds and maybe even the sun etc - you should start thinking about these worlds as complete places - and also thinking about the 'mechanism' so how the clouds and sun elements etc fit into the carved toy aesthetic/logic. Try and think of these now as little worlds and all that requires of you to think about :)
